Founder and chair of the board: Father Jim Ronan earned a B.A. from St. Francis College, an M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology, and a Ph. D. in Higher Education from Boston College.  He served at Bentley College as vice-president and dean for student affairs for 6 years, 1972-1978.  He entered St. John’s Seminary in Boston in 1978 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1982. He served at Immaculate Conception Parish in Malden, MA until 1988. That year he left Boston as a member of the Missionary Society of St. James the Apostle and he was the pastor of Parroquia de Santa Marianita in Durán, Ecuador from 1988 – 1994.  During these years the parish included approximately 150,000 families and this is when and where he founded the Rostro de Cristo program.  After his experience in Ecuador, Fr. Ronan was appointed the Executive Director of the Secretariat for the Church in Latin America of the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops in Washington, DC; he served in this role from 1994 to 1999.  He was then appointed Pastor of Holy Rosary Parish in Lawrence, MA from 1999 – 2004.  Today, Fr.
